Tim Pallas is Thrilled by Latest Government Spending, But Some Locals are Not.

Touted as a great outcome for the Werribee community, Tim Pallas said he was “Thrilled to announce $6.3 million for Wyndham City from the current round of the Andrews Labor Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund.”

The latest government spending in the area is to include a $1.3 million new community centre on Black Forest Road South, Werribee, which will offer early childhood facilities, multi-purpose community space, as well as maternal and child health services.
There will also be a  $1 million Family Centre in Manor Lakes North, which will feature consulting rooms, a community kitchen and community meeting spaces.
Over the past seven years, the Growing Suburbs Fund has invested more than $38.3 million to make 25 projects possible across Wyndham.
But not all locals are happy about this spending. Many took to Tim Pallas’ Facebook page to voice their concerns over what they see as misdirected spending.

Local member for Werribee, Tim Pallas, is often criticised for his lack of care for Wyndham due to the fact that he does not live in the area.

Leader of the opposition Matthew Guy, who recently spoke to Wyndham TV when he was in the area, also took shots at Pallas and the Labor government.
