
A heart-wrenching scene unfolded last night in Werribee as a fatal collision took place, leaving a family devastated.
On Shaws Road around 9:15 p.m., emergency services received a distressing call reporting that a child had been struck by a car.
Tragically, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the young girl was pronounced deceased at the scene. In the midst of the chaos and sorrow, the family, who lived nearby, arrived and were witnessed grieving for their beloved child.
Aluel Ajak, a non-verbal autistic 9-year-old girl, managed to leave her family home through a window before tragically being hit by the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle involved, visibly distressed herself, stopped immediately and is currently cooperating with the police as they conduct their thorough investigation.
Throughout the night,Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives worked diligently to unravel the exact circumstances of the collision, with the investigation still ongoing.
