
In a tragic incident, the Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives are currently conducting an investigation after the discovery of a woman’s lifeless body in Werribee on the 31st of May.
Building management was allegedlly prompted to conduct a welfare check two days ago at the residence on Cottrell Street, but police sadly found the woman deceased around 11:40 a.m. this morning.
During this distressing scene, a toddler believed to be the woman’s son, was observed wrapped in a blanket and was taken by the police to an awaiting ambulance. Concerned paramedics swiftly prepared a backpack with nappies and other essential supplies for the child. The boy is now with relatives.
Neighbours believe he had been with his mother’s body for several days.
While a post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death, preliminary findings suggest that it is not suspicious.
Authorities continue their ongoing investigation to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the woman’s tragic passing.
