
An aggravated burglary is currently under investigation by police after it occurred on 21st March in Hoppers Crossing.
At around 8:45pm, a car drove into the garage of a residence located on Bayview Crescent.
An altercation then broke out between the occupants of the car and those at the property.
As a result, three men were taken to the hospital with non–life–threatening injuries: a 29–year–old with suspected stab wounds, a 23–year–old with a gunshot wound to the lower body, and a 19–year–old with an upper body wound.
Four men were initially taken into custody in connection with the attack, but investigators now suspect they may be involved as witnesses.
The details of the incident are still being determined, but it appears to have been a targeted attack. As a result, extra patrols will be in place in the area in the near future.
A crime scene has been set up in the area including Bayview Crescent, Aitken Avenue Park and Torbreck Close.
The exact details of the incident remain unknown and detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating.
