Westgate Highway Patrol Seeks Witnesses and Dashcam Footage in Incident on Leakes Road

Westgate Highway Patrol officers are currently looking into a collision in Truganina that resulted in a woman being in critical condition.

At around 4:35 am on November 29, a woman who was crossing Leakes Road was struck by a white sedan. Subsequently, she was transported to the hospital with severe, life-threatening injuries.

Fortunately, the female driver of the white sedan was unharmed, remained at the scene, and is cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.

Authorities are reaching out to potential witnesses, particularly those with dashcam footage, as several vehicles are believed to have passed by during the incident.

The injured woman, who remains unidentified at this point, is currently hospitalized. She is described as having an African appearance, a petite build, standing approximately 166cm tall, with a scar on her forehead and burn scars on her right leg. She was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, pink platform sneakers, and dark-colored pants.


To aid in the identification process, investigators have released an image of a notebook belonging to the woman, hoping that someone may recognize it.
