Public Order Response Team officers observed the man’s VX Club Sport, fitted with false number plates, in the queue at a coffee shop drive-thru on Old Geelong Road.

Upon intercepting the vehicle, officers discovered the 40-year-old driver was unlicensed and operating an unroadworthy, unregistered car. The vehicle was subsequently impounded for 30 days at a cost of $966.

The man now faces multiple charges related to driving offences and is set to appear in court at a later date — a bitter end to his morning coffee run.
