Police are investigating after a vehicle crashed through a fence and then into a house in Hoppers Crossing last night (3rd of October).
Emergency services responded to the crash on Warringa Crescent just after 10pm but the occupant had left the scene on police arrival.
The vehicle, which ended up on its roof, has wiped out a residential fence and damaged a house.
One neighbour heard two loud bangs and came out to see what the noise was, he checked the vehicle and said that the windscreen had been kicked out, the keys were still in the car and a classical music soundtrack was playing.
Another neighbour said that she heard nothing as she was too busy cheering Collingwood’s one-point win at the time. She arrived at the scene shortly after receiving a text advising her of the incident.
No one was injured during the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
