Police are investigating the circumstances around a car slamming into a residential property last night.
The car hit the property on Claremont Crescent, Hoppers Crossing at approximately 8.30pm on 18th July severely damaging the entrance to the property.
The silver BMW E46 was wedged between the entrance of the property and a car that was parked at the property. Brickwork had collapsed, the outdoor shutter blinds and entrance were all but destroyed.
The driver who appeared to be acting erratically was examined by Ambulance Victoria and then taken by police to the hospital for a blood test and has been released pending summons.
There were no reported injuries.
