Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident on Greaves Street North, Werribee this evening at about 8.15 pm.
CCTV Footage below captured the moment of impact.
The incident involved a white Toyota Camry and a Silver Mitsubishi Lancer.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 34 year old Footscray woman, was trapped at her pelvis in the vehicle for approximately 30 minutes and was consequently extricated and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 37-year-old Tarneit man, who was driving the Camry, was not physically injured however his two-year-old son who was also in the vehicle, was taken to hospital for observations.
Video footage appears to show the Mitsubishi Lancer veering into the wrong lane and making impact with the Toyota Camry.
There are unconfirmed reports that the woman driving the Lancer was drug-affected.
