Police are investigating after a male was assaulted in Werribee this evening.
Police were called to Adare Place about 6.45pm to reports a male had been assaulted after a dispute between two groups of youths.
The offenders fled the scene before police arrived. The assaulted male was attended to nearby by police and ambulance in Prouse Place, Werribee, shortly after.
Neighbours said that there was a lot of loud yelling but did not know what was going on until emergency services arrived.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
