A man has been taken to hospital for assessment following a stand-off with police in Werribee this morning.
At least twenty police were called to a property in Werribee just after midnight, 18 October, following reports an electronic monitoring bracelet had been tampered with.

Around 30 responding officers cordoned off Tamarind Crescent while they attempted to make contact with a man who was believed inside the home.
Local police and the Critical Incident Response Team were able to speak with the man who had been threatening to set fire to the house. He was finally taken into custody some hours later without incident.
The 32-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment.
