Approximately eight firefighters, including specialist high angle rescue firefighters, responded to an incident at Hoppers Crossing this afternoon (27th October).
FRV and CFA crews were called to an Elm Park Drive address just before 3:30 pm, after reports a person had fallen through the roof of a building.
A 14-year-old boy had fallen through a plastic sheet on the roof and was quickly pulled out by a friend who assisted him to lie waiting on top of the roof for emergency services to arrive.
Crews arrived on scene to find the boy injured on the rooftop and worked quickly to bring him to safety.
They transferred the boy to the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics who transported him to the Royal Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
