The bomb squad detonated a device at a property in Hamlyn Heights, Geelong today.
The Torquay Crime Investigation Unit were called to the Pride Avenue address today after a suspicious device was found.
It is believed the police were at the address at approximately 9am to serve a court order when the device was noticed.
A 42-year-old man is assisting police with enquiries.
