Police are investigating after a man was located with leg injuries at a property in Werribee last night (27 June).
Emergency services were called to the Cheyne Street address just before 10pm following reports of an explosion heard.
The man in his 30’s was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The exact cause of his injuries is being investigated but it is believed he was using a grinder on a fuel tank which has then exploded.
Neighbours heard the loud explosion shortly before 10.00pm, one of them saying they thought it was the loud bang of a car accident.
