Wander a World-Class Garden in Full Bloom

State Rose Garden Show

Step into one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most celebrated floral experiences at the Victoria State Rose Garden, a breathtaking six-acre garden nestled within the historic grounds of Werribee Park.

Recognised globally for its beauty and design, this internationally acclaimed garden made history as the first rose garden outside Europe to win the prestigious World Federation of Rose Societies Award for Garden Excellence — and it’s right here in Wyndham.

With more than 5,000 rose bushes in full bloom from November to April, the garden is a living canvas of colour, fragrance and design. Its clever layout forms the shape of a Tudor rose, with the garden’s paths acting as stems that lead visitors through an immersive floral journey.

Explore the Federation Leaf, dedicated to uniquely Australian rose varieties, and the David Austin Bud, showcasing 46 cultivars of the beloved English rose breeder’s signature blooms. A heritage border wraps around the garden, showcasing rare and historically significant roses from around the world.

Free to enter and lovingly maintained by a team of dedicated volunteers, this garden is a photographer’s dream, a flower lover’s paradise, and a must-see for anyone visiting the Werribee Mansion precinct.

Bring a picnic, your camera, and your senses — and prepare to be swept away by a sea of roses in Wyndham’s most fragrant jewel.
