Major Makeover for Local Reserve
Wyndham City Council has announced a planned upgrade to Warringa Crescent Reserve in Hoppers Crossing, with works aimed at improving safety, accessibility, and the overall usability of the reserve. The improvements are part of the broader Woodville Place Plan, adopted by Council in 2024, which outlines a vision for enhancing public spaces and community infrastructure in the surrounding area.

The project will be delivered in two stages, beginning with car park and landscaping improvements. Stage one will focus on the area in and around the reserve’s car park and includes new garden beds, tree planting, directional signage, and updated line marking. The changes are designed to improve both the appearance of the reserve and the safety and efficiency of the car park for visitors.
Stage two, which is still subject to funding in the 2025/26 Council Plan and Budget, proposes a range of upgrades to the reserve’s recreational areas. These include the installation of a new picnic area, additional bench seating, and realigned footpaths to improve pedestrian access throughout the reserve. Landscaping enhancements and extra garden beds are also planned, along with a new drinking fountain equipped with a dog bowl.

The planned improvements aim to strengthen connections between Warringa Crescent Reserve and the nearby Woodville Park Shopping Centre, providing better access and walkability for residents. The upgrades are also expected to enhance the visual appeal and amenity of the space, encouraging greater community use.
Council says the project is part of its ongoing commitment to delivering safe, functional and attractive public spaces across Wyndham. Updates on the progress of the works and budget outcomes for stage two are expected later this year.
