Officers from South Melbourne Police have arrested a man after the attempted theft of a luxury vehicle in Port Melbourne this morning.
Officers were called to a business premises in Prohasky Street, Port Melbourne about 9.50am after reports a man had attempted to drive a 2022 Ferrari F8, worth $985,000, off the showroom floor.
Staff had managed to activate security protocols which prevented the man from driving the vehicle away and police were called.
Officers arrested a 28-year-old Werribee man at the scene.
He is currently assisting police with their enquires.
