
A man from Werribee has been charged by detectives from the Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit following the discovery of drugs in a car in Port Melbourne on Monday.
On Monday night around 11:45 pm, the police conducted a search of a parked vehicle on Stokes Street. During the search, they allegedly found Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and prescription medication. In addition, a taser, multiple identification cards, phones, and sim cards were reportedly discovered.
At the scene, a 29-year-old man from Werribee and a 27-year-old woman from Forest Hill were arrested by the police.
Further action was taken as the police executed a search warrant at a property in Forest Hill, where additional drugs were allegedly found and confiscated.
The Werribee man has been formally charged with trafficking drugs of dependence, handling stolen goods, and possessing prescription medication. After being granted bail, he appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The Forest Hill woman faces various charges, including trafficking drugs of dependence, handling stolen goods, and committing an indictable offense while on bail. She has been remanded and is scheduled to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later today.
