Police seize cannabis and a stolen bike with a not-so-subtle number plate.
Police have charged a man after uncovering cannabis plants and a suspected stolen motorcycle in Werribee on 24 February.
Werribee police executed a search warrant at a Jindalee Way property around 10:40 am. Upon arrival, a man allegedly fled and remains at large.
Officers seized a motorcycle with a number plate that boldly declared “not mine”—a message police found rather fitting, as they believe the bike was stolen from a Werribee property on 22 February. They also seized two cannabis plants.
A 28-year-old Werribee man was arrested at the scene for outstanding matters. He has been charged with cultivating a narcotic plant and was granted bail to appear at Werribee Magistrates’ Court on 17 July.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
