Werribee Trio Arrested After Violent Home Invasion in St Albans

Police have detained three individuals from Werribee, including two youths, following a violent home invasion in St Albans last night. Authorities were called to a residence on Atheldene Drive shortly before midnight after reports that five male suspects, armed with machetes, had forcefully entered the property.

Inside, the suspects allegedly demanded cash and assaulted both occupants of the home, a man and a woman. The offenders then ransacked the house and fled with a sum of money. The assailants escaped on foot but were quickly apprehended by police.

The two victims were transported to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Those in custody include a 17-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy, and an 18-year-old man, all from Werribee. They are currently assisting police with the investigation, which is ongoing.
