The Major Collision Investigation Unit is conducting an investigation into the fatal car crash which occurred in Yarraville on Sunday 16 April just after 1 pm.
Reports indicate that a man was reversing his vehicle into a carpark when it suddenly accelerated forward and collided with a 38–year–old woman from Werribee. The woman was taken to hospital but sadly passed away.
The driver, 48 years old and also from Werribee, was interviewed by MCIU detectives and has been released while further enquiries are being made.
