Police are investigating following an incident In Point Cook overnight which has left a man with serious head injuries.
Investigators are still to confirm the exact circumstances of what took place but believe the man, aged in his late 30s, sustained the injuries on Parliament Street just before 2.30 am.
A female at the scene jumped in a 4wd that was parked in the middle with a jet-ski trailer attached, and attempted to start the vehicle but was quickly removed by police.
She then started yelling obscenities at the injured male as he was being lifted by paramedics onto the stretcher to be taken to the ambulance.
The female was also heard saying that the male had jumped onto the car and tried to grab the door handle.
The woman had to be restrained by police for hindering paramedics, as she continued to yell at the man after he was in the ambulance receiving assistance.
The woman was then arrested at the scene. The man was then conveyed to hospital.
