Wyndham Brickfest Returns: Join the Colorful LEGO Fan Event and Support a Worthy Cause
Preparations are in full swing for the highly anticipated annual LEGO fan event, Wyndham Brickfest, set to take place at the Library Building of Hoppers Crossing Secondary College on Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25, 2023.
Wyndham Brickfest, known for its vibrant colors, creative displays, and charitable endeavors, is returning this year with a mission to support the Wyndham Health Foundation. The foundation aims to raise funds for the purchase of a Smileyscope Headset, valued at $6,270. The Smileyscope is a virtual reality (VR) headset designed to provide a distraction for children aged 4 and above during medical procedures. By reducing the need for sedatives during procedures such as stitch removal, cannula insertion, or wound cleaning, the Smileyscope helps create a more comfortable experience for young patients.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Andrew Elsbury, the President of Wyndham Brickfest Inc, stated, “Anything that eases the treatment process for children in our community is a positive development, and Wyndham Brickfest is determined to raise as much funding as possible to bring a Smileyscope to the Werribee Mercy Hospital.”
