Wyndham City is proud to announce the addition of two new Ecoteq EVO ZTR Mowers to their fleet, which are not only environmentally friendly but also more economical than traditional petrol mowers.
The larger 35–kilowatt mower will be used to service Wyndham’s larger assets such as Wyndham Park, while the smaller 22–kilowatt mower will be used city–wide. These electric mowers produce zero emissions, which is equivalent to taking 140 cars off the road each year.
The Climate Futures and Environment Portfolio holder Cr Robert Szatkowski said that this investment is another step forward in their efforts to achieve net–zero emissions by 2023. “Electric mowers require no fuel and less maintenance,” he said, “which makes them cheaper to run over a four–year lifespan.
Not only will Wyndham City be reducing its carbon footprint, but it will also save money in the long term.” They also reduce noise pollution by up to 50 per cent, meaning they can be operated without hearing protection.
Wyndham City is leading the way in environmentally sustainable practices and is proud to be making this positive impact.
