Neighbourhood House Week is held annually across Australia and highlights the role neighbourhood houses and community centres play in local communities.
Across Wyndham, community centres will run workshops, social activities and events throughout the week, giving residents the chance to learn new skills, meet others and explore programs available in their area.
Community centres offer a range of low-cost programs and services, including educational activities, social groups, volunteering opportunities and cultural programs.
The week will also include Australia’s “Largest Community-Led Lunch” initiative under the theme “Your Place to Connect”.
Residents can visit participating community centres during the week to take part in activities and learn more about local programs and services.
