New and Improved: Wyndham Park Car Park Upgrade Adds 30 Additional Spaces
Wyndham City is proud to announce the completion of the Wyndham Park Car Park upgrade, located at 59-61 Cottrell Street in Werribee, on November 6, 2024. The upgraded car park now boasts 80 parking spaces, a significant increase from the previous gravel car park, providing improved access and convenience for the community.
The upgrade includes four accessible parking spaces, new lighting, improved footpaths, and attractive landscaping, all aimed at creating a safer and more inviting environment for car park users. The car park will continue to offer free three-hour parking, in line with the rest of the Werribee City Centre, to ensure equitable access for all.
Wyndham City CEO, Stephen Wall, expressed his excitement for the project, stating, “I am proud to deliver vital infrastructure to our growing community. With this upgrade, we are creating a welcoming environment for families, visitors, and all members of our community to enjoy.” He added, “We believe that everyone deserves easy access to our parks and public spaces.”
The car park upgrade is expected to add significant value to the broader Werribee City Centre and support local businesses. Wall stated, “This upgrade will encourage more visitors to explore all that our vibrant city has to offer.” The initiative aligns with the Werribee City Centre Parking Strategy, showcasing a concentrated effort to enhance parking infrastructure in the area to cater to the evolving needs of residents and visitors.
