Werribee to remember the fallen
The Werribee RSL is inviting the Wyndham community to commemorate those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, with a program of Anzac Day events held across the coming week.
A pre-Anzac Day march will step off along Watton Street on Sunday 19 April. The march begins at 2.20pm from the Wyndham Cultural Centre and concludes with a service at the cenotaph at 2.45pm.
Those unable to attend on Sunday can join the dawn service at the Werribee Cenotaph from 6.30am to 7.30am on Saturday 25 April.
Following the dawn service, activities continue at the Werribee RSL. Breakfast is available and a coffee van is on site, with all proceeds supporting veteran welfare.
Between noon and 4pm, the RSL hosts Two Up, a coin-tossing game traditionally played by Australian troops and associated with Anzac Day commemorations.
