Teens arrested after high speed chase

One of the 15-year-old girls was issued with a caution.

Three teens have been apprehended by police following an incident involving an allegedly stolen vehicle being pursued by the Air Wing in the western suburbs of Melbourne.

The incident unfolded when the police spotted a black Honda on the Western Highway in Rockbank, at approximately 12:45 am on Sunday, October 8th. It had purportedly been taken during a burglary that occurred in Aintree around 9:30 pm the previous Saturday night.
Police attempted to halt the vehicle, but it accelerated and was subsequently pursued by the Air Wing. The Honda was reported to have been driven recklessly at speeds reaching up to 160 km/h before being abandoned on Sheahan Crescent in Hoppers Crossing.

Three individuals fled the scene on foot but were later apprehended in close proximity. A 16-year-old girl from Truganina was charged with burglary, motor vehicle theft, and bail violations, and she has been detained to appear before a juvenile court on a later date.
Similarly, a 15-year-old girl from Hoppers Crossing faced charges of burglary, motor vehicle theft, and bail violations, and she is also scheduled to appear before a juvenile court at a later date.
On the other hand, a 15-year-old girl from Fitzroy received a caution and was subsequently released.
