Free Day Of Fun And Education
Wyndham Vale Fire Brigade will open its doors to the community on 18 October, with residents invited to visit the new station and meet local firefighters.
The open day will run from 10am to 4pm at 858 Armstrong Road, Manor Lakes, as part of the CFA’s Get Fire Ready campaign.
Firefighters will provide information about fire safety, property protection and steps households can take to prepare their homes and families ahead of the warmer months.
Residents can also learn more about the VicEmergency app, including how it provides warnings and information about fires and other emergencies across Victoria.
Fire brigade demonstrations will take place throughout the day, giving visitors a closer look at the work of local firefighters and some of the equipment used when responding to incidents.
The community will also be able to explore the brigade’s new facilities and see its fire trucks up close.
For younger visitors, activities and games will run during the open day, while a barbecue and refreshments will also be available.
The event provides an opportunity for residents to become more familiar with their local brigade while picking up practical information about preparing for fire season.
The Wyndham Vale Fire Brigade Open Day is free to attend, with no registration required.
