He was interviewed by investigators before being charged with murder.
Man Found Dead In Jamieson Court Home
The charge follows an incident on Friday, 31 July, when a 36-year-old man was found deceased with a fatal gunshot wound inside a home on Jamieson Court, Pakenham, at about 1pm.
Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.
Court Appearance Set For Tonight
The accused will front Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tonight to face the murder charge.
Recent Violent Crime Across The Wyndham Area
The charge comes just months after a man was stabbed to death in Wyndham Vale, and after a Werribee man was charged with murder earlier this year.
It also follows a separate case this month in which an 81-year-old was arrested after an alleged attempted shooting at a Hoppers Crossing workshop.
