Witness Appeal in Serious Citylink Collision
In the early hours of this morning, 9th of May, a serious car collision occurred in the city bound lanes of Citylink, Burnley, which is currently under police investigation.

Emergency services were alerted to a car driving against traffic, which resulted in a devastating collision with a truck around 2:10am.
The driver of the car, a 36-year-old woman from Wyndham Vale, sustained life-threatening injuries and was immediately transported to the hospital.
The 51-year-old truck driver from Aintree escaped the incident uninjured.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are still being investigated by the police. They are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage from the vicinity prior to the collision to come forward.
