Wyndham City is pleased to be hosting a free Volunteer Expo on Saturday, 14 May between 10am to 2pm at Encore Events Centre.

The Expo will feature a range of Volunteering organisations across all sectors. There will people on hand from volunteer organisations to provide information, answer questions and have a chat about volunteer positions on offer.

Wyndham City Mayor Cr Peter Maynard said: “The volunteering sector has been hit hard by COVID-19 and is on a long journey to recovery. During the height of the pandemic, two out of three volunteers stopped volunteering.”

“Wyndham City is encouraging anyone who has thought of volunteering to come along to the Volunteer Expo and explore the opportunities that are available in your local community.”

“Come and meet your local community groups and not-for-profit organisations who need your help.”

“Volunteering has many benefits and is a great way to get involved in the local community, build social connections, make a difference, learn new skills and can be a pathway to employment.”

“Volunteering brings people together; it builds communities and creates a better society for everyone.”

The Volunteer Expo will be run adhering to Victorian State Government regulations, so you must be double vaccinated to attend this event.

This Wyndham City event is free.  Come anytime between 10am and 2pm.
