A Pretty Strong Community
More than 100 volunteers have contributed thousands of hours to Wyndham City Council programs over the past financial year, supporting almost 48,000 community members.
Council currently has 106 volunteers working across 13 programs at 27 locations, including libraries, community centres, the Visitor Information Centre and Youth Services.
During the 2025/26 financial year, volunteers contributed 9,207 hours and supported 47,714 people across Wyndham.
Council also welcomed 31 new volunteers during the year.
Almost half of Wyndham City’s volunteers are aged between 14 and 25, with many involved in youth and library programs including Paradox FReeZa, the Youth Task Force and VolunTeens.
Wyndham City Mayor Cr Mia Shaw said the contribution made by volunteers was significant.
“Wyndham City appreciates all the Council volunteers that have generously volunteered their time through many Council programs and services over the last financial year.”
Council says volunteering also provides participants with opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence and develop friendships.
