Now in its 7th year the Wyndham City Werribee Mansion run is set to continue to grow on Sunday April 24. From modest beginnings in 2015 where 515 participants took part, the event has grown to over 1500 expected at this year’s event.
Following two Covid affected years including the late cancellation of the 2020 event, race director, Justin Higgins says, “Its great to have the event back to full capacity this year and be able to hold all distances including the kids dash”
The event includes half marathon, 10km, 5.5km and kids dash events on the grounds of Werribee Park and will attract all levels of participants, from elite runners to walkers.
“The event aims to support local health and fitness industry businesses with this year’s event expo being the largest one yet. The event also supports the Leukaemia foundation but the highlight for me is the smiles on the faces of participants as they cross the finish line and receive their finishers medal”, Justin added.
