Youth Asked To Shape Wyndham

Young people

In short:

Wyndham, one of Australia’s youngest communities, is asking residents aged 12 to 25 to take part in its biennial youth survey to share views on safety, mental health and local life. The feedback helps shape youth programs and activities across the city, with responses open until 30 June 2026.

Young Voices Wanted

Young people aged 12 to 25 are being invited to take part in Wyndham’s biennial youth survey, with feedback open until 30 June 2026.

Wyndham is one of the youngest local government areas in Australia, with a rapidly growing population of children, teenagers and young adults.

The survey is designed to capture how young people experience life in the area right now — from safety and mental health to social life, education, work and access to activities.

Participants are asked to share their views on what is working, what is missing and what challenges they face growing up in Wyndham.

The results are used to build a snapshot of young people’s priorities and expectations, helping identify gaps in services and opportunities across the city.

Responses help guide the types of youth-focused programs and activities delivered locally over the next two years, including social events, school holiday programs, volunteering opportunities and wellbeing initiatives.

Past surveys have influenced activities such as school-based mental health events, youth-led projects, creative programs and regular social events like movie nights and battle of the bands.

Anyone who completes the survey will go into the draw to win a PlayStation 5 or a Nike voucher.

Feedback closes on 30 June 2026. More information and the survey are available via The Loop.
