Learn More About The Emergency Services
Hoppers Crossing Fire Brigade is opening its doors to the community on 22 November, inviting families to meet local firefighters and enjoy an afternoon of activities.
The brigade’s annual Open Day runs from 11am to 2pm at the fire station, located at 119 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the station, meet the firefighters and learn more about the important work they do protecting the local community.
Captain Koala will also make an appearance, providing entertainment for younger visitors.
Emergency Services Come Together
The event will bring together several emergency services and organisations, including Victoria Police, the State Emergency Service (SES), Coast Guard, St John Ambulance and Australian Border Force.
A sausage sizzle and drinks will be available for purchase, with all proceeds supporting the brigade and its ongoing operations.
The Open Day is also an opportunity to recognise the dedication of local volunteer firefighters, who give their time to respond to emergencies and help keep the community safe.
Attendees are encouraged to park across the road at AquaPulse and use the pedestrian traffic lights when crossing Derrimut Road.
The event is open to the whole community, with families and children particularly encouraged to attend.
